Prayer Email archive: (06/25/2001) regarding the clouds |
Hello prayer warriors,
1. Prayer note: regarding the clouds [Ecclesiastes 11:4] He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap. I've been covering principles on sowing recently. I've talked about not looking at circumstances or feelings when deciding to sow. This verse also teaches us another important principle and this is a harvest principle: you need to WAIT for your harvest. An important revelation for me was that there is a season between sowing and reaping. If you want to harvest, an important principle is the ability to wait for the harvest. Most of us are quitters. It's easier to quit. That's probably because we are in the microwave and fast-food age. Everything has to be quick or immediate. There is a season. We need to understand that. My father reminded me again about that principle recently. He bought me another health supplement but told me that it is not a miracle cure. However, taken regularly, my immune system and my health will improve. I've had friends who have taken supplements only to give up because they don't see any results straightaway. Or maybe you've met people who took up piano only to give up because they thought it was too difficult. We find it easier to quit because we are regarding the circumstances. We find it easier to quit because we think the task is too great. Then we feel frustrated and would rather our life continue in its chaotic state. We let the clouds or circumstances determine whether or not we get to reap our harvest. It is like the farmer who looks at the field after he has planted the crops and decides to give up because he hasn't seen the harvest yet. You need to push through for your breakthrough. You need to wait for the season of your harvest. [2 Corinthians 9:10] Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness; We need to remember that He is the Lord of the harvest. If you don't give up, in due season, you will receive your harvest because His promises for us are yea and amen and He is the Lord of the harvest. He is the One who multiplies the seed sown. All we need to do is to wait for His perfect time. [Habakkuk 2:3] For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. The vision for God in your life will surely come, it will not tarry. In other words, it will not be delayed. God's time is not our time but His time is always perfect. He is not one minute late or one minute earlier. All He requires of us is to wait in faith and in expectation, to do what is required and to push through until harvest time. [James 1:4] .. let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. 2. New prayer requests: i.
